Ladybird, a beautiful black mix, showed up on our doorstep eight years ago. A low-key character prone to snoozing in the Florida sun, she immediately found a kindred spirit in Justin, who almost immediately adopted her. Although a tremendous fan of lazy days and subdued excitement, Ladybird has been known to let loose when an open field or tossed treat avails itself. She’s a real runner, albeit one trapped in a napper’s body.

When we decided to go into the hot sauce business, it only seemed to make sense to name our signature sauce after Ladybird. She’s surprisingly mellow but capable of delivering that kick. She’s elegant when she needs to be but most comfortable at a backyard barbecue. The hot sauce is Ladybird and Ladybird is the hot sauce.
